The mysteries of one half of the world are being realized by another half of the world and as I travel across all parts of it a reoccurring question arises as does the reoccurring answer in many forms. Honestly thou I feel like the question is usually being asked not so it can be answered with the how to, instead those asking the question are usually asking to be reassured how not to. It’s a bazaar way to ask a question, like going into McDonalds and asking them what all the options are for not getting fries with your order just so you can reassure yourself that McDonalds would defiantly be out of fries when you wanted them. What is the question you ask??? How do you get to travel so much? How is it possible to take a month from you job/routine life to see the world every year?? How can anyone take a year off in there teens, twenties, thirties, forties, with kids, retired, on a fixed income, with the world being so out of control and dangerous etc??? How can anyone live where they want doing what they want living and working remotely if that’s what they want???? When I try to give them the direct answer; “Choices”. It’s often met with a heavy bombardment of follow up questions or responses about how you must make so much money or it’s not possible at this stage in my work/school/kids lives etc. At a party we threw before going on this present trip across the Americas one lady would not stop asking my about how one gets to travel so much. So I went into my usual spiel about choices, choosing planes tickets over car payments, eating out in Dubai over eating out at home etc, after about five minutes I figured out she didn’t want to know how it was possible she was just looking for the reassurance of why it wasn’t possible for her. Finally I walked away and she went and asked a friend of mine what I did for a living. She told her I used to own some businesses and I sold them. Ohh she said, that’s how, he sold a bunch of business. Hahahaha, the back story of that would likely give her a heart attach. It almost gave me one! Well my friends as I meet so many people who are basically living out there dream or dream job, working anywhere or living anywhere I’m going to interview them and ask them the how’s and why’s of the choices they made that got them to where they are in their life. Thus hopefully providing a broad variety of examples of people just like you, living their life in a way you’ve always wondered about. Then hopefully you can see the possibilities, ask the right questions and live the life you ultimately desire.
