To prove me wrong she would often set some outrages goal for tips at a serving job she
had and see if she could end a Friday night with say $1000. Yes on more than a few occasions she could pull that off & today is basically living what some would say is a fantasy life. Some days I get so pissed off at myself when any little hiccup up presents itself in my present day goal setting until suddenly it hits me that I dreamt up riding a muck about the planet on my motorbike and after talking enough shit about it, sure enough, I have this awesome life where I ride a muck in amazing parts of the world, despite my present day hiccup that I’m pretty confident will explain itself in the near future. It’s all in your head people, it’s all in your head and this week I feel like a magnet for examples of this as my inbox or facebook feed seems to keep slapping me in the chops with examples. If you’re into burning up some time listening to amazing stories of people who never lost sight of what that wanted or how they used their mind to go and get it then I’ll share with you a small buffet of amazing real life events. The first is Tony Robbins telling how Rocky went from selling his dog outside a liquor store for $50 to multi-movie fame and reading off all the reasons he was told no as his acceptance speech at the Oscars. (5mins 15sec.)
I love the story of how Dr. Dre and Eminem basically saved each others lives and the relentless racial discrimination they both got. Remember when everyone thought Elvis was singing “Black music”?
Watch at 3:50sec when Eminem explains that he knew this would be his only shot and he made sure that “…for every beat… I had a rhyme ready to go.”
Do want to hear it from me, great how about some more celebrity clips from all walks of life and how they just set their minds to it and then worked their asses off. I love when Oprah interviews Jim Carrey (3mins 25sec) and Jim explains he wrote himself a cheque for ten millions dollars when he had nothing and cashed it on that date it was due.
If you really want to sink your teeth/mind into to it, check out this book I’m reading. The Happiness Advantage by Shawn Achor. It’s amazing what people think themselves into or out of for that matter.
Downlaod the PDF HERE I love big goals and am still working towards my initial goal of driving the Americas via motorcycle. Got something outrageous your working on? Let me know in the comments.

I love the way you write your stories and the people you meet along the journey. So much fun to see the countrysides I bet, despite the rain and weather at times. So happy you had the dream and are living it out. Many blessings for more unique adventures and beautiful sights and people.
