I can practically envision being at the event Jan describes in her reply to my Sushi story.
I LOVE food & travel! Alot of people travel just for the food, Mexican street meat, Green Mango Thai Salads, street side. BBQ'd chicken hearts over charcoal in Indonesia, actually that meal was fantastic!
I took a screen shot of Jans reply about her food experiences.
The best is the last bit where she is hanging out with 120 year old Native Elders, taking part in the "ceremony to call the norther lights..." with a meal of moose tongue, the meal that can taste you back!
Unbelievable! I actually know Jan, so I'm not surprised and I'm pretty sure this happened in Alberta. If your reading this from abroad it might require alot of luck and some hefty planning to ever be part of one of these sacred events. If you are in Canada, you'll know you don't have to travel far to be part of one of millions of foodie experiences in this culturally diverse country.
I liked this amazing story so much I wanted to share it with everyone on the subscriber list!
